“French Development Agency” delegation in the head of Fanny Delpey, South Cauca’s office new appointed president made a visit to Vedi water reservoir. Fanny Delpey familiarized herself with the reservoir dam construction showing her interest in current issues and the reservoir construction completion deadline. The reservoir is being constructed with “French Development Agency” and RA Government financial support through “Armenian Territorial Development Fund”. Fanny Delpey found the program aim very valuable since newly built water reservoir with the capacity of 29 million cubic meter is sure to supply 3200 hectare of Ararat valley low-water fertile lands with efficient irrigation.

More than 5000 rural farms of Vedi and Ararat consolidated communities are considered to be the reservoir beneficiaries.

Within the program, inter-farm closed network of irrigation is planned to be constructed in the experimental areas, that will enable farmers to realize irrigation with newest methods of drip irrigation and rain bird system technologies.
