YEREVAN N-116 RECONSTRUCTED BASIC SCHOOL WAS RE-OPENED
,,The program of building 300 schools and 500 kindergartens is not educational at all, it is a plan of ensuring the perpetuity of our statehood” RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a visit to newly built schools of the Republic familiarizing himself with the works implemented.
The first stop of the Prime Minister was Yerevan primary school No. 116, built within the scopes of "Seismic Safety Improvement Program" implemented by RA Government and Asian Development Bank through ATDF. The school design works were launched on February 2019, while construction started in October 2020 being completed in January 2023. The construction works were funded by Asian Development Bank. In total, 1,391,580.8 thousand AMD was allocated for the school construction. Apart from construction the school was also equipped with new property, for which 35,805.6 thousand AMD was provided.
Building conditions meet modern educational demands. The school also has a landscaped, green and asphalt paved yard area. In new academic year, 465 students will attend the school. In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that three newly built schools were opened in Yerevan on September 1, “Yerevan N-55 basic school,, “Yerevan N-116 basic school” and “N-18 basic school,, the front wall of which was preserved as a cultural value only.
