As by projections, by 2050 demand for water will increase by 55%. While today around 2 billion people lack safe drinkable water. Nearly 3.6 billion people are deprived of sanitary proper conditions, as 44% of wastewater is not treated safely.

March 22 is a world water day, that is a good reason to reevaluate the importance of water in a human life and for the whole planet, drawing the public attention to the water issues. First of all, we should restore reserves, preserve and save them up, supplying stable and qualified water supply.

Our country also faces water issues in the solution of which, Armenian Territorial Development Fund” plays an important role. An array of the Foundation projects is aimed at drinking and irrigation systems modification and water removal system improvement. To crown it all two water reservoirs of strategic importance are under construction.
