Solar photovoltaic plants with the capacity of 1680 kv/hour were installed in 18 communities of Armenia. Program regarding 1680 kv/h solar photovoltaic panels installation in 18 communities of Armenia is coming to its end. It is implemented by, Armenian Territorial Development Fund” in the scopes of “Social Investment and Local Development” project, (SILD) financed by RA Government, World Bank Armenia and communities co-financing. Starting from 2018, solar photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roofs of kindergartens, schools, and other buildings of community importance, whose general capacity makes 1680 kv/hour. Due to this, the budget planned expense for electric power in 18 communities was possible to reduce significantly. For the aim of project implementation, generally 508 million AMD was invested.
