Communities’ water supply issues were discussed at ATDF
Sargis Baghinyan, the executive director of “Armenian Territorical Development Fund” received the Armenian mission members of Rehabilitations Loan Bank (KFW) Jens Haagen, Head of Urban and Regional Development Department for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, Michael Pucher, chief engineer of the Bank, and Zara Chatinyan, the representative of KFW Bank in Armenia. During the meeting, the sides discussed the process of “Phase 3, community infrastructures II project” implemented with the support of rehabilitation loans, European Investment Bank, European union and RA Government co-financing, whose total sum makes 70․44 million EURO.
Within the frames of the project, water supply and water removal systems rehabilitation of 63 communities, located in Shirak, Lori, Armavir, Gegharqunik, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, and Syuniq provinces are planned to be implemented.
The aim of the implemented project is to supply 75000 stakeholders, involved in the communities with 24 hour of qualified water supply, decreasing water losses to minimum, reduce maintenance costs and energy consumption.
In the course of the meeting, the project of Kaps reservoir, being constructed with Rehabilitation Loand Bank (KFW) and RA co-financing was discussed too.
