INCOMES ENHANCEMENT IN AMASIA AND SARDARAPAT CONSOLIDATED COMMUNITIES

The irrigation system basic rehabilitation of Amasia and Sardarapat consolidated communities has been completed. The project was implemented “Armenian Territorial Development Fund” (ATDF) with World Bank Armenia and communities co-financing.

More than 7km long water pipeline was laid in Amasia consolidated community, due to which  irrigated arable lands of 7 settlements will be added by 1600 hectare. Yield from cereal crops is expected to be added by 29 thousand, while that of potato by 35 thousand center. The annual net profit of residents to be received from harvest and cattle will make about 661 million AMD.

Approximately three communities will take use of 7km water pipeline to be laid in Sarapat. Arable lands that are subject to be irrigated will be added with 299 hectares. Harvest to be received from cereal crop will be added by 11 thousand 580, that of potato will be 3 thousand 88 center. The net annual income of residents will be more than 227 million AMD.

Generally within the project pertaining to “Irrigation systems rehabilitation” in ten settlements of the community, RA Government, World Bank Armenia and communities co-financed investment made in Amasia by “Armenian Territorial and Development Fund” is about 289 million AMD, in Sarapat it exceeds 184 million AMD.
