Water losses of irrigation system entering Yerevan were minimized due to nor Dalma and Norq waterlines rehabilitation. In the scopes of “Irrigation systems modification” financed by “Eurasian Development Bank”, RA Government rehabilitated nor Dalma and Norq waterlines damaged sections through “Armenian Territorial Development Fund” (ATDF). Particularly, in nor Dalma waterline, water loss of irrigation system reached up to 60%. With the help of 206million AMD investment, instead of open concrete waterline, now d=355mm and 280mm closed polyethylene pipeline with more than 3400 l/m was laid. A significant section of Norq waterline was also in poor and ruined condition. With the help of 205million AMD investment, now a polyethylene and metallic pipeline with d=355mm and 315mm, with 3450l/m was laid. Due to two waterlines rehabilitation, gardens and plots within houses are now irrigated with closed system and with zero loss, as a result of which water saturation has also increased. As a result of irrigation systems modification project implementation, water amount meant for Yerevan and other green areas irrigation will be increased too.
