Echmiatsin waterline will be ready for operation ahead of irrigation season. Ground works meant for waterline 120m tunnel part are already finished. This part was completely ruined and around 50 percent of 800 hectare cultivated land, belonging to eight villages was irrigated by mechanical way. The waterline rehabilitation is done within the scopes of “Irrigation systems modification project” implemented by “Armenian Territorial and Development Fund” (ATDF) with RA Government and “Eurasia Development Bank” co-financing support. Echmiatsin waterline investment makes 170 million AMD. With the aim of supplying complete irrigation by gravity, GRP  type of pipe, with the diameter of 1800mm will be laid around the waterline in  120m tunnel section.

In the scopes of ,,Irrigation systems modification”, with the financial support of RA Government and “Eurasian Development Bank” “Armenian Territorial and Development Fund” (ATDF)  is implementing around one kilometer ruined section, located around upper waterline of Aknalich pumping station. In the past, the water loss percent exceeded 30% in this section. With 200 million AMD investment, the waterline will be rehabilitated with “Г” type of reinforced concrete structure. After reconstruction the water loss percent will be under ten percent, increasing Arshaluys community lands water saturation.
